In order to change the DNS numbers that you use for Trip.Net on your Windows PC, please follow these instructions. For Macintosh or other computers, please refer to the documentation that came with the Operating System for changing DNS numbers.
Locate and double-click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
When the My Computer window opens, you should see an icon for Dial Up Networking. If not, try to click on the Start button, then Settings, and then look for the Dial Up Networking icon.
After you've double-clicked on the Dial Up Networking icon, you should see a screen that looks like this:
In the window, there will be an icon labeled "Make New Connection" and then an icon for your connection to Trip.Net. It may be labeled "Trip.Net", or it may have been labeled with another name. Once you've located the icon for your Trip.Net connection, move the mouse pointer over it and then Right-click on it so that you see the following menu:
Choose "Properties" from the menu that appears by left-clicking on it. After left-clicking on the word "Properties", you should see the following screen:
Click on the tab at the top of the window labeled "Server Types", and you will see a screen that looks like this:
Your settings should be as they appear in the image above. If you have any extra items checked, uncheck them by left-clicking on the checkbox. Next, click on the button labeled "TCP/IP Settings", and you will see a window that looks like this:
Again, your settings should be as they appear in the image above. If you have different selections on your window, click on the small white circles to select "Server Assigned IP Address" and "Server Assigned Name Server Addresses". Make sure that both items at the bottom of the window are checked. When you are finished, click on the "OK" buttons on each window until you return to the Dial Up Networking Screen:
Close the Dial Up Networking Window. Your DNS settings should now be correct to access Trip.Net. If you receive a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error, try restarting your computer and connecting again. If you still experience problems, contact us.
